In essence, a life coach is someone who walks alongside a person for a season of life and coaches them through it.
According to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune, a life coach is "part therapist, part consultant, part motivational expert, part professional organizer, part friend, part nag - the personal coach seeks to do for your life what a personal trainer does for your body."
If you have a specific goal or are experiencing change, you may benefit from spending time with one of our life coaches. Life coaches can help encourage and equip clients who feel stuck and in need of new direction. They may help you overcome relational difficulties, personal challenges and emotional instability or to develop new living habits. Restore's coaches offer faith and non-faith based counseling, depending on the desire of the client.
Our coaches are professionally certified and have honed skills to promote growth and an understanding of practical steps to personal change. As Christians, they can weave biblical faith into all aspects of their coaching and come along side the church to help Christians meet certain challenges and goals in light of scripture. This life growth can be a part of the sanctification process through the work of the Holy Spirit, not just self-improvement.
