Adults and Couples
Jenny Meigs graduated from Southwestern Christian University with a Bachelors in Human and Family Services and obtained a Master of Science in Counseling degree from Mid-America Christian University. Jenny has worked in the mental health field for 10 years and is a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist. She has completed Gottman Level 1 training for the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Certification and is a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
Jenny uses a person-centered and psychodynamic approach, interwoven with a personality typology framework. She believes that relational issues can often begin or be perpetuated by differences in temperament/personality and unhealthy boundaries. Additionally, she assists clients in seeing how their past could be affecting them in their present life and works with them to identify and break down the old ways of thinking that have become an emotional hindrance and a relationship barrier. She sees great value in helping others learn to interact and deal with conflict more effectively and finding hope no matter how hopeless they may feel.
Jenny sees individuals and couples over the age of 18. Jenny accepts many insurances, including: Community Care, Healthchoice, NPHO- Norman Physicians Health Organization, WebTPA, and Tricare Standard.
While Jenny is trained to work with all populations and issues, she currently sees clients over 18 years of age. Her areas of interest include:
